I'm new to ice skating and recently bought a cheap pair of skates that seemed to go by street shoe size. I don't really know anything about shoe or blade size of quality skates, and don't really understand other reviewers' comments about those. So for anyone who is as clueless as I am, I included a picture of my skates with a tape measure showing exactly how long my blades are (just over 11.5") for reference. These are great for when you come right off the ice and don't want your skates to rust. I never go without them handy. They fit all sizes. My size 6 skates, and my husbands size 14. They are very thick and durable.
