Reasonably robust construction; rather powerful even for centering (not tried on big quantity of clay, but perfectoly adequate for the 2-3lb quantity I use for throwing up to 8" bowls, etc.... ). Quiet! Did arrive with a disconnected wire on reversing switch, but easily enough fixed. It is, however, worrth noting that the speed-control lever HITS the reversing switch - this clearance problem was "resolved" by removing reversing switch's knob -- OK by me, as I only use one direction of rotation typically. The tub around wheel does NOT have divided area(s) in corner(s) as some others appear to have according listing photos -- I prefer this un-divided tray. Quite low -- becomes usable height for stool-sitting, if it's feet are put onto two 8'x8'x16' concrete wall-blocks. ... show more

i’ve had this wheel for over a year now, which is apparently very rare reading all of the reviews saying it was broken when arrived 😵 though this was a fairly good beginner wheel, it has a bunch of cons. the wheelhead is not level and it is also very small (the diagram does not show the correct measurement btw). the switch on and off switch has shocked me several times now, which i explained to the company early on and i never received a response. it kills my back to use because it is such a short wheel (i’m only 5’10 lol) and i can barely raise it on anything because the pedal’s wire is so short. which brings me to the pedal, when the wheel first arrived the pedal could start and stop the wheel on its own and the wheel could spin very slow if i wanted but shortly after something changed and the “off” position stopped working, giving me only 3 speeds to work with (fast, faster, and fastest). it is extremely hard to trim my pieces on the wheel because of how fast it goes, hard to tap them into the center or do any intricate work. it is one of the cheaper wheels on here, but i still do not think it’s worth its price and wish the company could have refunded my money or at least could have anything to say as i’ve reached out to them more than once. ... show more

Potential for wiring to be exposed to water, wiring harness not well thought out. Adequate enough. Sits pretty low for anyone over 5' 10". It's exported from China so the packaging (which could use improvement) had a rough trip, Mildly surprised it made it here without any damage, lol. The price is well worth it. The turntable didn't have any issues. The paint looks pretty good. Welds are all nice and tidy. So, 3 out of 5 Stars or, 2 out of 4 Stars, something like that... ... show more

I haven’t used it yet but it looks like it will work well. Except that one rubber foot was severely torn and does not work. I cannot get Amazon to only resend the one small broken part!
