OVERALL: the 96NORTH essential oil reed diffuser set is a fresh and coastal scent in a nice size for a small space such as a bathroom or hallway. I also love the giftable packaging. SCENT: fresh and acidic, but still warm and "coastal". If I hadn't been told "cotton blossom", I would have said coconut water. It's not coconut, but very green, like you just chopped down a palm tree, if that makes sense. It is not strongly lemon, and definitely not sweet, but lemon is still there to balance the warmer amber notes. It qualifies as an "ocean" scent, but definitely not like some other brand name ocean's REEDS: The reeds are very dark brown, almost black, and when placed in the bottle, they occupy about 80% of the opening. They are thick and straight with large, visible xylem/pores. The reeds are important to me because nothing destroys the look of a reed diffuser than wonky, thin, or bad-quality reeds. To double-up the scent, it is recommended to occasionally flip the reeds. BOTTLE: gorgeous, perfume-like square bottle (blue for ocean mist). The bottle is totally full of liquid and arrives sealed with a rubber stopper. Looks great with beachy or blue decor. PACKAGING: lovely! I will keep this brand in mind for my next gift basket. The size, bottle, and packaging are nice for a gift. I love the little elastic closure detail. Feels fancy but the box still feels recyclable (except for the elastic). ... show more

i got the english pear version and it smells a lot like pears. maybe to much like pears. the fragrance is extremely strong and good for large spaces (like a living room). the bottle comes with the bottle and 7 sticks.

The scent is really nice! It isn’t musky or overwhelming. It has a light, bright smell to it (if that makes sense?!) The bottle is thick glass, large, and the packaging is lovely.
