  • Excellent quality overall
I didn't care for PTB tone circuit in my 2012 USA G&L Legacy, so rather than rewiring it, I decided to replace the entire harness (and leave the original intact). I'm very pleased with the results. The workmanship is neat and clean, and the components are top quality. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the output jack was wired backward, so the strings, trem block shielding etc were all connected to the signal lead ...... which of course resulted in a horrific hum. I knew what the problem was right away so it was an easy fix, but a novice DIY'er probably would have had a bad experience. ........ That said - I'm very pleased. ... show more

  • Very well-made with quality components.
I used this in a recent strat build. They do a nice clean job with the wiring and soldering. Each pot and the 5-way switch lined up with the pick guard so there were no problems there. They provide a crystal-clear diagram to show you how to wire in your pickups. Everything fit into the body cavity just fine. Sounds great! This is the first time I've used one of these pre-wired kits and I found it to be very convenient. They did a better job with the wiring and soldering than I would've done, too. ... show more

  • Good modification, with a little improvising.
I got around to installing it today. It’s good. There’s a minor hassle with the installation, in that I first had to desolder the jack to get the wires from the electronics to it. Then, the wires were too thick to snake through the small hole between the jack cavity and the electronics cavity. It worked when I supplied my wires. I also got it with the goal of switching the middle and bridge pickup connections to get the neck + bridge combination and so the second tone control would work the bridge rather than middle pickup. The former worked but not the latter; I don’t know why. ... show more

  • Super high quality !!!
Replacing old electronics at some point is inevitable .. When that time comes these guys are extremely hard to beat.. The quality, price and performance are better than anything I have used in the past.. The pickups in my Stratocaster never sounded so good.. Very very high quality the kind I can and do recommend to anyone looking to do a major upgrade on their electronics.. I can say with extreme confidence you will not be disappointed !!! If you are looking to upgrade look no further you have found the best!!! ... show more

  • Well worth it for me and of high quality.
I have purchased quite a few of these between Amazon, Reverb, and 920 direct without any issues so far. You can buy the parts for maybe $20 less but for me and considering my messy soldering skills the less I have to do the better. Cost of this is worth it for me and I have about six different loaded pickguards I put together for my collection of guitars. Feels high quality and neatly done. ... show more
