I think this 8v is the right mix of size and power for a cordless rotary tool. The 4v versions just don't have enough power and the 12v tools are too bulky for detail work. This one is just right. The included attachments are the usual cheap, barely useable junk. Do yourself a favor and get some of the dremel ez-lock cutting and sanding attachments and a set of quality carbide burrs. ... show more

    • Good alternative to the more "known" brand craft drill.
Good alternative to the more "known" brand craft drill. The drill has some good torque, and I was not able to grind it to a halt pressing down very hard. I am sure there could be some materials you could get it to stop with. But on various common surfaces, it did very well (wood, plastic etc.). One of the major reasons to get this type of drill is that it is cordless. And that is why I like it a lot. The battery has had good lasting power and so far I haven't used it all up in one sitting. At most it looked like about 60% or 75% used. And that is mostly at high speeds. The drill has 5 speeds with an lighted speed indicator and a battery indicator. Makes it easy to see what is happening. They include a lot of various bit, but of course you can use your own or get any others you may need. It also feels comfortable to hold and looks pretty cool, for whatever that is worth. I think the only slight down side is that it does not include a plastic type box the hold everything in. It does include a bag for the drill. But a nice storage box would have been a better idea. ... show more

I am renovating/restoring my entire, large house. “Restoring” for me means either stripping down to original and completely refinishing furniture and decor two or three hundred years old, or repairing and/or resurfacing modern pieces, making them appear like new. I mostly work with wood and often there are spots I cannot reach with full size tools or damage on a small, but often complicated, scale. I can no longer depend on my hands for that work, as I have severe arthritis and Parkinson’s; I need the right tools. This is a tool almost the same as many I’ve used over the years and it does a good job. I have already used it quite a lot on a couple of bathroom furniture projects. It is comfortable in my hand and has consistently generated its rpm’s while the bits or other accessories I’ve installed with it have stayed put.     • Excellent rotary tools for small tasks
This is a good rotary tool that balances weight, power, and portability. It's more handy that my larger all in one with a flex shaft and a fraction of the power. For quick things or projects in softer materials this works great. It is a little back heavy so prolonged use and super fine detail can be a little tedious. That said its my go to for foam and plastic work. It'll cut sheet metal but you have to go slow and not bog it down. The four sided nut with included collets works well enough if you aren't constantly changing out bits but there are certainly some cost effective solutions that can save you some time and hassle. ... show more

All of a sudden, the battery wouldn't take a charge. It's been some time since it died and I have needed one of these for months now. I'm glad I found this one. All my other parts, sanders, grinders, cut off wheels, etc., I have over 1000, fit this tool, just as they did the other one. I would not like to buy more attachments again. The battery works longer than my other one too. Although it has only 2Ah of power, and has five speeds, the battery last a good time. I have never run out of power yet. I don't use it for hours straight, but it last a long time in my experience. I have often used rotary tools to sand burrs off of wood and to smooth out hard to get areas, or where a larger sander wouldn't fit. With the different bits it comes with, I have no shortage in what I need. I will have to dig into my old supply sometime, but for now I'm using what came with the kit. These sanding and cutting tools work as well as my other attachments do, so I might as well use them up. I really like how light weight the Neu Master feels in my hand. I hate getting fatigued in my working hand when I am using a tool like this. I can't really switch to my non-dominate hand. So far, with this rotary tool, I haven't felt fatigue at all. With a good competitive price for a good quality product, I'm glad I ordered it. It works just as I was hoping. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This rotary tool feels well made and has everything you need to start using it right out of the box. I already have a larger corded Rotary tool with lots of attachments that will also fit this tool. It uses standard bits and wheels so any brand will work with this. The only thing I can find fault with is its lack of power. If all you are working on is just polishing or carving small stones, plastic, or wood this will be great tool for you, because it is so light and easy to handle, and with no bothersome cord in your way. However if you do a lot of metal cutting, large stone carving or work that involves heavy cutting or carving, I would say get one with a more powerful battery, or a more powerful corded rotary tool. ... show more
