Everything works as expected, but I did not read the manual closely enough to realize that the one-press of the Enter button to close the door only works within 30 seconds of opening the door with this opener. I thought it would close the door with a single press of the Enter button with no time constraint, and not dependent on how the door was opened. In other words, I thought I could close the door from outside the garage any time I wanted, by pressing the Enter button (without having to enter the PIN). I still find it convenient to be able to open the door when I'm outside by entering the PIN and pressing Enter. ... show more

I've tried and tried to get this product to work. I'm now returning #4. It either arrives NOT working, stops working after a couple of days, or eats batteries every month or two. Save yourself the hassle. On a positive note, it is very easy to connect - I've done it several times!

    • Solid replacement keypad for Liftmaster garage door opener

I purchased this remote keypad to replace the original keypad that came with my Liftmaster garage door opener as the bottom row of keys had stopped working. While it looks very similar to the OEM, it isn't the exact same case as the battery compartment cover is slightly longer (you can't exchange them). One nice feature is that the cover stays open when you open it (rather than flopping down on your hand while you are trying to enter your code). The keys 'beep' when pressed, but that feature can be silenced. Installation was simply as the screw holes line up exactly as the original did, so you don't have to remove the upper screw and the lower fits the original hole. Only reason for four stars, rather than five, is that the 'one-button close' feature only works within 30 seconds of opening. Any longer and you have to re-punch your code to close the door. This one replaced an old Sears keypad entry. This unit is great but it took a little time to figure out how to exactly go through the sequence. You must do a number of steps to the keypad before you press the learn button on the garage door opener unit.
