These clips should get the job done for a couple years of hanging Christmas lights on my roof. These don't seem super durable, but good enough given the price point in my opinion. I usually put my Christmas lights up at the end of November, then take them down again after a couple months depending on the weather. I try to avoid taking them down if there's still snow or ice out in order to minimize the injury risk to myself. With my use, and our cold winters in Michigan, I'd expect these to last pretty good for 2-3 years of hanging Christmas lights before they start to get brittle. I find that they wear out pretty easily when being clipped on the gutters, so that will also factor into their life span. For what I expected, these will work just fine for my needs. ... show more

I was hoping they would work for my fence, but they won't go over the top of the fence, because it is too thick. Even so, they are find for thinner materials, like a gutter or the lattice on my fence. Price is good also.

These are good light clips. They make it possible to hang lights without using penetrating fasteners which can damage parts of your house. They fit, but feel a bit loose so time well tell how well they hold up. The price (~$18) seems high for what you get so you may be better off looking for alternatives among Amazon's vast selection of excellent products. However, these do have value - they are the simplest form that I have found that gets the job done, so do compare all aspects of any alternative that you find. I like the versatility of these clips. There are a couple of ways to hang lights. They are flexible, at least at room temperature. I have used brittle ones in the past that break at the worst time. These are easy to open up to set the light. I also like the length of the clip. They slide in enough to hold the light in adverse weather conditions. If they are too short they can pull out just by the weight of the string lights. A winner in my book. ... show more

These are very nice light hangers for the gutter. They stay in place and are barely noticeable on my white gutters. Flexible enough to get the wires in without issues, yet solid enough to hold on. Large quantity for the price.
