Very easy to install. Terminals are well built and easy to add crimp connectors to. I drilled small holes in the bottom of the plastic enclosure just in case water leaks in it can drain out without shorting out any of the wires.

This was a good product for the price point. i used it to rewire lights and brakes on my equipment trailer. The junction box and wire coding were very helpful. I spent time as an automotive electrician so this was quite simple for me. The only thing I don’t like is the plastic plug holder. It’s a very minor thing. I think making it out of thin sheet metal would be a huge improvement. only reason for 4 star. time will tell on longevity ... show more

I’ve had 4 and 5 pin adapters lost or stolen… the truck doesn’t see them as a “trailer”, only 7 pin. I swapped the haggered boat 5 pin to this and it’s great! Solid connection. Heavy duty parts and build. Tons of gaskets and adapters included so you can route the wiring and direction you want.

The junction box made connecting the trailer wires to the 7 pin connector on the vehicle using the supplied umbilical plug very easy. It gives a professional quality to the job and with the color coded studs and instructions, it's almost impossible to get the wires crossed wrong. The kit comes with everything necessary to make a professional connection. It provides for a water proof seal inside the box and there are a couple of options for running the wires to the studs.
