only helpful if item is small and light weight. photo makes them look bigger they are supper tiny. easy to break. its advertised for fishing and rock climbing! only thing I can use these for is my water bottle and my ketch board on my yak. was going to return but I needed something temporarily for my the two items mentioned. I'm an insulator and work in the refineries where your tools have to be tied off so lanyards that will still let you work is essential. They get intertwined sometimes but if you space out the connections on your belt, they're not a problem. They also attract attention.
