Lock pins falls off easily. Handle snaps off with ease. Screwing mechanisms distorts and bends easily. Very flimsy. And I’m only gluing together soft pine wood. Don’t waste your money on these clamps. You will have to buy a new set since they break easily!!!!

The description states these are heavy duty. They are NOT. I purchased these to glue some 2X6 boards together, the little pins that hold the threaded rod to the clamp came out. They started to twist when I was applying pressure to hold the boards together. These clamps will work for some light duty work. Im going to keep them just for that use. (Wouldn't be worth going thru the return hoops) Save your money and pay for some quality clamps, Im going to get some Bessy clamps. Hope this helps. Happy shopping. ... show more

So I bought these for a client's large project. I actually bought 24 of these to meet my needs. Unfortunately I've had a lot of problems all with their very poor manufacturing. The threads are inconsistent as far pitch and width. This makes it hard to screw pipe in. I've actually had to retap a few of them. I have 6 which are currently unusable as the pin breaks or falls out. I also have two where the screw shaft bent while tightening down the clamp. I should've paid a little more for a better quality product. As these break they're going in the bin and will be replaced with something better. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The (roll-formed, not machine cut) threads are so badly formed (even lubricated) that as you turn the handle the friction from the threads twists the clamp off the workpiece. (See video.) The retaining pin and its matching groove in the screw shaft are misaligned, so as pressure is applied the screw pushes on the pin rather than the cast jaw, causing the moving jaw to widen away from the pipe and never contact the work evenly. ... show more

These are sturdy and durable - the only downside is they don't sit perfectly on a flat surface for panel glue ups. The sliding piece release mechanism lays on your table which makes it tilt a bit and easy to knock over. The crank side sits perfectly on a flat surface and still allows you to turn the crank. My issue is easily fixed by making some square blocks to slide over the pipe and let these square blocks clamp the wood and rest against the surface. Or buy some more expensive pipe clamps that have this feature built in. ... show more

these will not stand up well like the ones with feet on them. also the pin that holds the handle to its push block keeps falling out. i personally wouldn't buy these again for my use but there are other uses for them. They are still strong enough to told what I need held but there are better ones depending on your application. ... show more

These clamps work well enough, they are lacking a the square edges some of the nicer clamps have that will hold them flat on the surface and inhibit the clamps from rolling but otherwise they are fine .
