THEIR DELIVERY WAS VERY FAST, THEY CAME IN A BEAUTIFUL BOX, LOOKING FANTASTIC, ONE SKATE WEIGHS 1074 GRAMS WHICH IS HEAVIER THAN THE MODERN SKATES, SO I WONDERED IF I WILL BE SLOWER.     • 3-4 months still going strong
I'm still plenty satisfied with them as my first personal skates, although that itself means I have no other baseline. The quality is more than satisfactory, and I get more than enough support, the boot is a tough and rigid hardboot, which I'm a fan of as I always liked ankle stability over flexibility on inline skate boots. I was on the factory sharpen (which was infact properly profiled and concaved) till about 2-3 weeks ago and will say I recommend a sharpen pretty early on, but it's also not necessary in the sense that you can't skate without a sharpening. I also recommend you replace the laces with waxed ones as well, it helps with tightening any skates, but especially more rigid ones, alongside longer lace lifespan/durability and cleanliness. ... show more

I am a so-so skater had not been on a pair of skates for about 7 years. We were visiting my son's family who live in a new home on a lake in Minnesota. They had cleared off some ice so I had to give it a go. First, the skate size match my shoe size quite well and yes, you do need to have them sharpened before using. I went just about a half size larger and was able to double up on socks comfortably. I skated two times, first time for about an hour, second time for about two hours. While the shoes are a little stiff to start with, I had no problem using them on either occasion and my feet felt fine afterwards. I cannot speak to their durability but have no hesitation recommending them for the casual skater. Good value for the price. ... show more

Bought this one just to try out skating and let me tell you when I moved from rentals to this it felt really good. The aura i got was insane. I didn't get any blisters or anything plus it's just really comfy to wear. The size is true to the given size which is awesome. The blades are also sharp so, yes, no sharpening is required. Size fit as expected. Bought them To skate with the kids as they go to the rink weekly. They are not the most comfortable but maybe that is normal. I am no expert skater so not sure what to expect. I think they are good for the money.

BEST EVER? No. But worth the money? Absolutely. I did heat form them, worked them in for a good fit. After second time, they might need a better insole...developed a few sore spots on the balls of my feet. The factory edge is...not "aggressive." The blades definitely need a sharpening...did much better after that. If you are a no kidding beginner, maybe skate on them a time or two before you get them sharpened? ... show more
