  • Gets the job done
Size: 25 mm/ 1 Inch
If you're just looking for an NFC smart tag, these are fine. My main regret is that these are not a sticker like some NFC tags, making them hard to stick around your house.

  • Great for tabletop RPG props
Size: 25 mm/ 1 Inch
I bought these for a sci-fi themed Fate RPG campaign I had set up. I wrote a bunch of spells and each coin was going to contain one spell. The idea was that a character bought a grab bag of random spell coins and would “activate” the spell whenever they needed. The player then uses their cell phone to scan the coin, which displays the spell information, the idea being they never know what spell they’re going to get each time and the spells could be useful, useless, or backfire. Of course, Android truncates full text when an NFC tag is read and I didn’t want to make everyone download a third party app just for this. So I instead made a brief web page for each spell and encoded the URL onto the coin so it would load the spell info page. None of that is the fault of the coins, of course, that’s just how I used them. My players loved the concept, so I’m going to be getting more of these coins for more spells. I tried using NFC stickers on plastic chips, but every round sticker I found was the exact size of the chip, so even the slightest movement and they didn’t line up perfectly, with one edge of the sticker hanging over and getting caught on things and collecting cat hair. I didn’t feel like having to trim them all down. All these coins worked perfectly. I didn’t have any trouble encoding them or reading them. Some people had trouble reading them, but that’s only because they never used NFC tags before and didn’t know where their antenna was located on their phone. I wish they came in other colors so I could color code them by type, but I guess I can always use a Sharpie. ... show more

  • Good for NFC Tags
Size: 25 mm/ 1 Inch
They're sturdy and does the job right. I prefer the soft ones because they're easier to store. But these will last longer if you're using them more than once.

  • Many are defective in the pack. Did find app to write to the tag.
Size: 25 mm/ 1 Inch
First, it took forever to figure out that the first few I tried were defective. I used these for a networking event and had about 6 students using them as well. Any of the apps will work for these, I used NFC, but the students mostly used NFC tools. I would start with NFC tools, NFC was clunky. If you get a warning that it is not compatible, it likely means it is defective. Try another tag until it works. Very frustrating, I would not recommend this tag just because there are to many defective. Also, these aren't great at networking events because not all iPhones or Androids will automatically scan these and the need for the app is cumbersome for most conference goers. Good in theory, but practical application with our smartphones isn't there yet. And honestly all of these AMAZON vendors should supply directions for best apps and use for these, it would take away some of the cognitive dissonance. ... show more

  • Made my own amiibo
Size: 25 mm/ 1 Inch
Bought a box of these. Used a phone app to write amiibo data to them. Nintendo games recognize them as amiibo and unlock the game content you can't get any other way. Highly recommended, especially if you don't care about amiibo from a "collect a bunch of plastic figures" standpoint. And especially because Nintendo is awful at making the amiibo (and thus the in-game content) available. Don't pay scalpers 2 or 3 times what the amiibo is supposed to be sold for, just buy these. Remember: if you buy these or you pay a scalper, Nintendo sees $0 either way, so don't feel bad about it. ... show more

  • Does what it is intended for
I bought this thinking that they were the sticker type, where you can simply attach it wherever you want, but these are the sturdy type. I wish I could have taken time to read the description.
