In my photos the plug on the left came with my Kreg jig and these plugs are on the right. To me they look like the identical size and they fit the pocket holes perfectly. They stuck out about 1/8" from the wood surface and it only took a few moments of sanding with a little cat sander for the plugs to be flush to the surface. I'm really happy with these and am glad that I didn't have to buy the more expensive Kreg pocket hole plugs to use with my jig. ... show more

The quality of the of the plug is good and sand down to flush easily. I am using a Kreg jig. It won't take long to run thru a 50 pc. pack.

Nice clean plugs that fit perfectly in the pocket holes from my kreg jig. They are a tight fit which can make them a little tricky to get in but they prob could stay put without glue if you really wanted. The one in the photo was just pushed in by hand, no glue and no sanding. Would definitely buy again, price seems reasonable at 20c each (but not super cheap). ... show more

These pine plugs are a good choice for paint-grade applications. They are smooth and consistent, but run a bit small. This makes them easy to hand fit into the holes, but clamping of some sort is required to get the long tails flush. As with all the commercially available plugs, they are a bit long to plug holes in 3/4" stock - you will have to cut them off with a back-saw once the glue is dry. I didn't paint or stain the ones I used (They are great for covering up mis-drills), so I can't comment on how well the take paint or stain. ... show more

In the past, I have always seemed to not have one of these plugs when I needed one, so having these readily available is perfect. They fit right into any pocket holes I make with my Kreg. They are very solid and do not appear to be composite.

you get 50 of these for 9 bucks that's about 18 cents a piece. Probably the average price for this quantity and type of wood. the wood is not hardwood, looks to be pine. these will be fine if you a plugging holes that get painted after or don't get looked at a lot. but if you are using a clear finish to show off the wood these may not match up. you could probably stain them to match the surrounding wood. Overall pretty decent product certainly cheaper than the name-brand version. ... show more

They seem larger, like a tiny fraction larger, than the standard Kreg plugs. It's a bit of a tight fit, but they fit into place with a little "persuasion."
