Finestra's Premium Arctic Matte 230gsm Inkjet Paper is perfect for Photography, Posters, Presentations, POS Signage, CAD and Graphic Art Reproductions. It's bright white in appearance and holds detail extremely well. It's a glare free Matte surface that works great with inkjet printers from Works Great With All Major Ink Jet Manufacturers and many more. It can be hot or cold laminated if desired and will show your work off beautifully. While not required, you can spray finish with a lacquer based overspray such as Finestra Art's Photographer's Friend Lacquer Spray (SKU: FM-PROSB-SPRAY) after printing to achieve increased lightfastness. The spray seals the print, gives it a waterproof coating, helps protect against scratches and inhibits UV damage. Premium Arctic Matte is compatible with all Inkjet Printers. If you are looking for what photo labs call a matte finish then you want LUSTER photo paper. Matte photo paper by all paper manufacturers is fine artist or presentation paper commonly used for posters, prints and signed artwork. It is NOT a resin coated paper like Luster or Glossy.

It's hard to determine which side to print on... a complaint on other reviews... It doesn't really matter much.. prints are high quality either side. I did notice one side is a little whiter.. If you hold one in each hand side by side under a light you will notice one side is a little brighter.. just flip one the other way till you notice any difference...but it doesn't make much difference.. if you mess up one side you can print on the other side...if it works for your project.. ... show more

I used the 5x7 matte photo paper to print out pictures I'd taken of various artworks I'd viewed on my most recent vacation. They will make splendid additions to my Paris journal/scrapbook. Perfect color retention through a Canon Pixma, fast drying, and cost effective.

This matte photo paper is perfect for party invitations and works nicely for other invitations and art prints. It dries quickly and comes in various sizes. However, it can be difficult to discern the printable side, and the printer profiles may not be accurate for all printers. Additionally, the paper may bend with the weight of ink and require editing for bolder appearance in art prints. ... show more

I wanted to use a Matte photo paper, to compare to the Ultra Premium Glossy paper I always use. This paper is to my liking, I'm pleased with the finished result, and I will continue to use it. However, I have one very disappointing "view" of the paper, I CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SIDE I SHOULD PRINT ON, AND NOT PRINT ON. Many reviewers say it is easy to discern the different sides, well, not in the batch I ordered. Now, I will use the rest of the paper, but, I will not order again. ... show more

    • Excellent matte paper
I photo all my wife's oil painting (oil on canvas) for record keeping and recently tried printing one - they just don't look right on glossy photo paper but the matte paper gives them a much more realistic oil-on-canvas look.
