I bought this for the playroom I'm creating for my grandchildren. It's 100% adorable. I was somewhat disappointed when I realized that the top piece was cracked and scratched. Sturdy, REAL wood. Unfinished, so no weird chemicals and you can paint or stain it if desired. Small, but holds enough books for a small child to have a good selection without being overwhelmed (I keep most of his books out of reach, and swap which ones he has access to periodically). Fits nicely over baseboard and flush to wall. Easy to assemble, and comes with screwdriver as well as gloves and sandpaper to smooth edges. Very pleased with this purchase. I put this together myself on a Sunday afternoon in about 20 minutes. Very easy to assemble and super cute. I saw much smaller and uglier ones on Wayfair for way more than this price. This one is absolutely worth this price and a great size. My son loves it, he can see all of his books at once and it makes it so much easier for him to pick out which books he wants to read at bedtime.
