  • Holds Siding Off the Wall
Maybe I'm just not using these right but they keep the siding from being tight against the wall. They are thin material but thick enough that there is a gap behind the siding. Even after removing you can see a slight wave looking down the wall and push the siding and feel this gap. Since the next board above is already nailed it's not easy to use a block to try to remove this gap. There are some other types of siding gauges that clamp onto the bottom edge. These work much better and are easier to use. I'd recommend a set of those instead. ... show more
