I have to wear this model of 5.11 for my work uniform. I've been on my current post for just under 10 months now and the 2 pairs of pants I've been rotating through washes have treated me well. I have seen just about ZERO wear, tears, fraying, or lessening of the Velcro grip the entire time. I snagged a small hole up against a nail, but the hole hasn't grown or gotten bigger, even after several washes. Very comfortable, breathes well and almost "moves with me". I use these for hiking as well and heavy brush and thorns seem to bounce right off. If they get soaked, just hang them for an hour or two and they're dry again. Love the the pockets for all my "every day carry" supplies. Pros: Durability Comfort Quick Drying Fit Pockets Colors "moves with you". Cons: A bit pricey but worth it. Is a good material, very resistant. Pockets number and location are very useful. A must for field engineers. Just keep in mind, if you are going to order based on your current jeans size, select the next size available for these pants. These are easily the greatest work pants I’ve owned. Going on a year now of daily use I have several pairs. I first picked these up at Bass Pro but then saw Amazon has the exact same ones. The number one is the fit. They aren’t baggy and they don’t bunch up. The pockets are perfect for a cell phone and pocket or utility knife up front.
