Having used drug store foundations for years, I've had many rashes and frequently irritated skin. I desperately needed a foundation that had less irritating ingredients. After reading reviews on this product and several competitors, I finally decided to try Sweet Face Minerals. I love that these have simple ingredients. I ordered the deep tan based on the majority of reviews saying the colors run pale; I'd probably have purchased beige otherwise. Using mineral makeup is an adjustment from using a liquid, it does require a bit of practice and finesse. However I found it to be versatile. You can get much or as little coverage as you want, and if your base color is too light or dark it's easy to correct. I only gave it four stars because I think the shade chart is very misleading. If I hadn't read the multiple reviews, I would have ended up with the wrong shade, and I think Sweet Face really needs to fix the description to avoid customer issues. ... show more

I have been using these products for a few months now and waited purposely to give a review because I have very sensitive skin and wanted to see how they would work. I have been very happy with them overall. I have had no sensitivity; the products go on nicely, and I like that it doesn't take much to get a polished look. I bought the fair shade 2 since I have pale skin, but I did find that it is too pale. When I reorder I will go one shade darker. I do still use a separate liquid under eye cover as the powder is too dry looking in that area on me. My only other complaint as others have said is the size of the containers that the products come in. They need to be just a little bit bigger for the amount of powder in them. Based on some of the reviews I was skeptical, but I really liked this mineral makeup. I was using bare minerals, and I actually think the concealer powder in this kit works better. It's not heavy coverage, but it does the job. If you use primer it's a better finish and it will not get caky. That is true with all mineral makeup. I would say the colors of the foundation run light. Go up 1-2 shades, because I am very fair, and even fair 2 is too light for me. I have to use bronzer to not look pale. I will say each container is actually full when it arrives and the price is better than most other mineral makeup. ... show more
