From what I can tell, it seems to air lock. Idk if it'll protect from water, if water would be involved in some freak accident way. But boy does it display my signed cards handsomely. Since my display area is almost 6 feet off the ground, I have the cards tilted forward instead of back. The slop accommodates the certificate of authentication behind the forward tilted cards. Bulbasaur signed by Tara Sands the Voice actor for Bulbasaur. Same as the mint GreatBall by The Wand Company.
