This excellent little direct connect charger is sold as made for E-Z-GO, CLUB CAR , and YAMAHA Golf Cart batteries, but it will work for any 15 AMP 48 Volt lead acid battery configuration as long as the poles can accept O-ring connections. There is a dongle that you attach to the output power cord from the charger and then you connect the Positive lead to the outside positive pole on the batteries, and then on the other side do the same for the negative. Then you can either bring out the charger when you need to use it and plug the output cord into the dongle.or a better solution is to use screws and mount the charger under the seat, and then just connect the power cord to a wall socket anywhere you go. The charger is a 4-step charger, where it does a pre-load, then rapid charge, then trickle charge, and then shutdown standby. The indicator light on the side flashes initially yellow, then rapid flash green when the charge is under 90%, slow flashing 90%, and then solid green when fully charged. AY 7"x4" and about 5 pounds with a carrying handle it's compact and very easy to use. If you want to BYPASS your onboard computer (OBC) then this is the charger you want. Just get a 12 gauge wire with O-ring connectors, look on YOUTUBE for "How to Bypass Golf Cart OBC" and follow the easy process. OVERALL - This avoids having to search for a compatible plug.     • I'm silly and didn't realize it was for lead-acid only!
Take note if you order this charger, it's for lead-acid only. I was noting some odd charging behavior to a LifePo battery, until I discerned the description a bit better. That said, the unit feels really solid and the fan does ramp up, but isn't overly loud if you have it in a garage or something. 800W is pretty respectable from your normal 10A circuit, but not so much you're going to be blowing breakers from utilizing all 10 amps.     • Works like OEM for 1/3 the price
If you've got an older golf cart you may not realize that the original charger that came with it is really inefficient. These newer Chargers do a much better job of charging and cycling your golf cart batteries while staying cooler and without the loud hum that older charges make. As a bonus, these off brand chargers are about $300 less than an OEM replacement so its hard to go wrong. ... show more

This charger is so quiet that you barely know it's running. No hum or fan noise. Very light to carry around if needed (compared to the huge heavy old OEM EZGO charger). Charges our EZGO in a reasonable amount of time. Pleased with it.

Same voltage and amperage as original charger included with cart -- 48 volt and 15 AMPS. This one is light weight, around 5 lbs., made out of aluminum and works every time. Long 16 ft. power cord is convenient so need to be right next to an outlet. I didn't notice that the charger got really hot like the original and is quiet when in use. And the indicator light let me know when charging was finished. This one is not bulky like my old one. I plugged it in and a few hours later it had my battery completely charged, no muss and no fuss. My favorite thing about this charger is that I can mount it to my cart and it is lightweight. I take my cart around town alot and wanted a charger that is mountable so that way I can charge the cart while I am out if need be to make my way back home.
