Needed this to help maneuver logs in my solo stove as it burns lower. This is exactly what I needed for a few reasons. The adjustable size makes it great because I can change the length if I need to be closer or further away from the fire. The grip is good on the wood so i don’t have issues with holding onto the logs and getting them into the fire. It’s also a good weight- not too heavy for me to maneuver. They're lightweight, but I wouldn't consider them heavy duty. The handle is hollow on the inside (which is where the weight savings come from). The major factor here is that it's expandable by adding a section to the handle. There's some assembly required, but mostly straightforward.
