  • Excellent Product for Rucking
Color: Us Woodland
I love to hike and this is the perfect backpack for me to train with while rucking! Every summer I take off on a long hike alone with a backpack for weeks at a time. I live in Florida and I cannot train here going up mountains because they are none so I need to train with weights in my pack. This backpack looks awesome, has plenty of storage to include a pocket for an oversized water bottle and it holds an incredible amount of weight. Sure, I could purchase a name brand rucking backpack but why, this one does the job. I actually purchased a weighted vest on Amazon but I could not wear it in public for my own safety. I do not live far from a HS and the weighted pack looks like a bulletproof vest and everyone would be calling the cops on me. I use those weights in this backpack and it hold up well! And I stuff it with 30-50 lbs of weights and the straps are holding on well and I am impressed. So it is great for rucking but it is also a great backpack if you have other uses for it. I love the material, color and adjustable straps. The price point for this product is excellent! Trust me, I would spend about 6 times more for a rucking pack and this does the job! ... show more

  • Excellent bag. Design could be improved.
Color: Cp Camo
So overall, this is a tough little bag. I used it for rucking and have placed 38+ lbs of weight in this small bag without issue. It carries the weight well but some of the choices on how the straps are used is a bit unwieldy. Especially the main strap that goes down the front of the bag. You have to feed it all the way through the molle webbing to attach it. It also has a tendency to slip and come completely undone if you pick it up by that strap, so only use the carry handle for lifting the bag if it is weighted down. Perhaps a better strap system that doesn't require being fed thru the webbing would be a better option. Otherwise, everything on it is nice. Definitely worth the cost. ... show more

  • Much better than I expected for the price
Color: Black
Got this to finally replace the backpack Ive been using for years as an Officer, and currently kicking myself for not doing so earlier. The bag has much more internal space than I pictured in my minds eye, plenty of room for my toughbook laptop, binder of notes, a decently sized box of chips (for those long shifts where Im not trying to spend all my money on fast food and gas stations), a couple extra water bottles, and still have a good 1/4 of the space left for whatever else I might stuff in there...and thats just in the first compartment! The particular way this bag is divided and organized took a few minutes to fully process from the years of using my old bag, but once I figured out how I wanted to make use of the various different chambers and compartments and dividers, it actually works rather sensibly. Everything has its place and is grouped with things my mind likes to group together...it just works. And yes, the bag does come with the TBL American flag patch, which is of actually a real nice PVC quality instead of cloth embroidery like most cheap patches. The stars on the union are even raised up to be felt. My only REAL issue I have with the bag is the odd 3 pronged straps along the top. Ive come to understand that I could make use of it by rolling up my hi-vis vests or a short duty jacket and then using the straps to secure it to the top, which is a really nice idea actually, but when not wanting to make use of the feature the straps just get in the way. I also completely removed and cut off the straps along the front since Im using this as a duty bag and not as a hiking bag or rucksack and they just looked goofy and got in the way of my gear when wearing the backpack. I also cut of some of the excessive extra on the straps along the bottom of the bag as again it looked a bit goofy. On a final cosmetic point, expect the bag to arrive "flat packed" and folded inside its shipping bag, and dont expect the many MANY creases in the bag to go away anytime soon unless you want to take it through a few wash and dry cycles maybe (have not done myself, so not sure how it would fare quality and construction wise after doing that) All in all, for the price it is amazing. Accept the fact that you do indeed want a "tacticool" looking bag for whatever reason, and just buy it already. I chose this over other options because I actually do make use of the molle and now my backpack is the only thing I have that lets me show off any neat patches Ive accrued over the years which are not at all authorized for me to wear on my uniform or uniform vest. Its cool. So buy it. ... show more

  • It is ok for the EDC crowd and everyday college/school use.
Color: Black
So I got this backpack to replace a swiss gear laptop backpack that really did not need replacing and I have been using it for travel and everyday work for about a month. If you want to use this back to carry a laptop, you will need to buy an additional laptop sleeve if you want it to be secure. There is no dedicated padded pocket for a laptop. If you want to carry a water bottle then you need an additional pouch that uses molle to attach to the side, there are many of these on amazon. That means that you are spending easily $40 more if you want those features. The features are really like the product page says. The quality is ok at best it is not mind-blowingly high end. The vertical strap running in the front is not aligned at the bottom. The molle is not really molle, I think someone who really knows the system will laugh when looking at this bag ( I believe there should be a 1in vertical spacing between rows which this one does not have). The zippers and plastic buckles are ok. The buckle in the Y-strap goes in sideways sometimes and it is annoying. The waist strap is removable, if you are size 38 and over forget about using that (I waist size 40 and it did nor fit me, so I removed). The strap in front to keep the padded shoulder straps in place came off after about 2 weeks of use (at the airport of all places) and you may end up loosing it, so you need to check the straps are adjusted every time. The pockets in the second compartment are so-so almost towards the unusable side. The flag in all honesty should just be black, not everyone buying this is a cop and it instantly turns into trash. The good things? The main compartment allows the full suitcase style opening which for travel is super useful. the small front top pocket is super accesible the bottom front one, while not easy to access you can open the zipper and slide in anything easily. The strap system really helps compress everything for travel, I confirmed it fits under a plane front seat and in the overhead compartment. Anything molle seems to work fine and the molle loop velcro add-on I got works fine. If you use it for work or college it will be wonderful and a great template to customize with patches and pins. ... show more
