This has everything you need for fishing - this is my sons first year and these are wonderful. All easily used and great quality. There is something in here for everyone ! They are all so well designed and made that this is going to be the only bait box we need this year. The hooks are sharp and the correct angle for catching (some of the sets I've seen this has been something of noticed). The colors are bright and shiny things are shiny. I love these little sets. They are really great for beginners. These are also great for taking someone for the first time and you have a little set all ready to go for someone. Also, if you just need to restock stuff or have a little on the go pack and don’t want to bring all your gear.

I picked this up on a whim mainly for all the variety of lures, hoping that at least most of them would be usable. And that is exactly what I got, a 400 pack of mostly usable lures and hooks. Don't get this expecting the tackle box to be good, because it is really cheaply made. The hinges pop off when you try to close it so I wouldn't trust it in a tackle bag if you move around a lot. The tray up top needs to come out to get the stuff on the bottom but it's not designed that way. Also the box is WAY too small for all the lures to fit back in. Once you take the hard baits out of their shipping bags you will never want to put them back in as the trebbles will all get tangled. If you take them out and put them in another tackle box, there's enough room for all the soft plastics, hooks, spoons, and jig heads. The quality is about the same as the bargain bin lures from Wal-Mart. They work and swim ok but they aren't premium in any way. All the hooks are sharp and they function as they should though. It is a good starter kit for bass, crappie and walleye if you have nothing else. The hard baits are a variety of topwater, lipless, and divers of different depths. They really have all types covered with this kit. The soft plastics range from 3 senko style lures to a variety of curly tail grubs and some fake maggots and corn. There's some very tiny fake shrimp and I'm not sure how you would fish them other than a small J hook. There's a small box of J hooks that are great for panfish, I've ordered similar style ones before from Wish and these look just like them. Sharp with closed eyes and a good selection of sizes. There's also 6 jig heads that are all the same size. They will work with most of the lures provided but I wish there was a smaller size too. There's also some split shots, all the same size. There's a lot more in the kit too, just look at the pictures on the product page to see what all it comes with. Overall I'm happy with this kit but I wish the box was a little nicer. ... show more

Got this for son's basic fishing pole to get him started. He absolutely loves his little tackle box that has sooooo many options for him to pick from. He is ready for almost any size fresh water fish and we did catch a catfish on day one with this kit. Very pleased with the options, not sure that box itself will survive but that is very minor anyways since we had a bigger tackle box for him to use. I always struggle carrying around a large tackle box when going out fishing. This box fits my need. It has some great lures for freshwater fishing in a compact case. Very good deal for the money. Highly recommend!
