For the price and the refills, these pens are nice but lack the glide of gel pens. I purchased them to replace my gel pens I use to inspire me to grade papers. They are not what I’m used to using, so I’ll use them because I bought them. Pretty great price and the refills make it a sweet deal if you want quantity over quality. ... show more

I raked over multiple options when it came to colored pens, and I finally settled on these—based on the positive reviews. I decided to risk the negative reviews (pens not working, refills drained into the bottom of the container on arrival, etc.), and I'm glad I did. Wow! Very impressed! I figured nobody needed yet one more sample of every single color and, in fact, I have not sampled every color. I took several random pens out of the box to test the quality, and they all wrote with ease and with vibrant colors. As you can see per the pictures I've provided, my order arrived with all the refills intact. I mean, come on. The equivalent of 40 vibrant, colorful gel pens for less than 12 bucks?? A steal! FWIW, I bought these to assist me in augmenting my vocabulary in a foreign language novel (so, think paperback stock); and I use them to scribble in definitions. No bleed-through at all, the colors are lively and appeasing, and so many to choose from! These are not "neon" gel pens, by the way. The ink just looks like a vibrant colored pen. Bought these for work. Colors are great and very vibrant and it's a great value. My only complaint is the ink doesn't flow out while writing consistently.

    • Good set for white or light paper
I like that these are not excessively thick. .7 is not a bad size. I haven't had one clump ink on me, and I like that. One thing to watch out for... The color of the pen is not actually that of the ink. Use scratch paper to test out the ink before using it on you creations. There is a great variety though, they handle my needs. Do use paper made for coloring, or you may get a slight bleed-over on the back side. They will not work for dark paper, not that kind of pigment. And do not forget, that each pen has a wax cap on the end. You have to chip it off with your nail before using it. All in all, a good value. ... show more
