  • A useful product; two minor deficiencies can be easily overcome.
Color: 2 Pcs
I got this rack for my one beehive that didn't come with a similar rack included because they are so useful. They help you avoid hurting bees or damaging comb when you need to handle frames. This is a well made stainless steel rack that comes in two parts. I found two very minor problems with it that are easily solved. My other rack has a bar attached on the gripping end so that the arms are automatically placed the correct distance apart, and this set does not have one. I simply painted lines on my hive on either side of the grips to show where I need to place them, and have since found I actually prefer to have the two arms separate for easier storage in my bee tote. The second thing is that I'd like to have something on the end of the arms to keep frames from accidentally slipping off. My hives are level and I don't leave frames hanging while I walk away, but I have chickens wandering around that I worry about even though they usually keep their distance. For now I have a wooden clothespin wrapped tightly with a rubber band clipped to each end, but if I still feel the need for something after living with this awhile I'll probably mold something smaller with metal putty. I recommend this product. ... show more

  • Handy to have! Now an essential in my beekeeping bag.
Color: 2 Pcs
I used these yesterday while performing a split on a hive in my apiary. They came in really, really handy. They are made from heavy weight metal that will not bend or warp and easily clip on to the side of the bee box. I usually bring an empty box with me to move some frames into when I am doing an inspection but this makes it easier to keep the bees right next to the box. I separated out frames of food on this side clip and it gave me a lot of room to work inside the box. I only felt comfortable putting 3-4 frames on it because I was afraid I would bump it (not being used to where it was) and drop frames of bees but it would definitely hold a couple more. I wish I would have gotten one of these simple sets of brackets a long time ago to give me an extra pair of hands in the bee yard. They are definitely going to stay in my essentials bag for next time! ... show more

  • Pretty close to what I was shown in a bee class.
Color: 2 Pcs
Newbie here, these frame holders are similar to what I was shown in a bee class except there is not a permanent connecting rod setting the correct distance. Time will tell if that is an issue but for now, they will work.

  • Good for remote apiary
Color: 2 Pcs
This frame holder is sturdy and well made, although it's a tad different from others we have used. Usually the frame holder has a vertical bar holding both the brackets, and it also serves as a spacer so you don't have to gauge how far apart to put the brackets. For this one, I'm about to put a pencil mark on the edge of the hive body so as to decrease the guesswork and avoid any mishaps with falling frames. BUT! These are SO much easier to put in our "bee bucket" to travel to our second apiary in the next town. Those ones with the integrated rods are so unwieldy to put into a bucket or whatever, and we are constantly dropping them (not with bees on them, luckily). So, this has plusses and minuses. BIG plus in my opinion for the remote apiary, and an easy fix with a couple of well-placed marks. ... show more

  • Works
Color: 2 Pcs
It works well and is much better made than others I’ve used. Seems much stronger and thicker material etc. the only problem I have is tho other type I’ve used are connected together so you just hang it and your the right distance apart. Since these are separate if you off at all the frames won’t fit and if your by yourself holding a frame full of bees it’s not easy to manipulate them to the proper distance. I made two marks on my box so I know exactly where to put each side but it would’ve been easier if they would have a small connecting piece. I am relatively new to bee keeping but every frame I’ve seen is the same length so I don’t understand why they aren’t hooked together in some way. After I marked my box they work great and as I stated are much sturdier than others. ... show more

  • Makes hive inspections easier
Color: 2 Pcs
I did a "Spring Cleaning" today and took both deeps off and inspected every frame. These frame holders came in handy to hang the first frame on while inspecting the rest. Normally I would just lean the first frame up against something, but this made it easier and quicker, and the frame stayed in the right orientation. I like that the holders are separate, so you can use them on different size hives/frames, if needed. You can stack probably about 5 frames on it, but I only need it for 1 or maybe 2 at most. They are sturdy metal and easy to carry in a deep pocket on my bee suit. Nice product. ... show more

Stainless that is durable and sturdy. Seems like a decent price for the quality of materials.

  • Every bee keeper needs at least one set of these for hive inspections.
Color: 2 Pcs
The two pieces Beehive Frame Holder- Stainless Steel Beehive Frame Perch- five Full Frame Capacity Beekeeping Frame Support Bracket Rack- Bee Hive Frame Grip for Beekeeper was obtained for use in my apiary. I never had any of these and would place my active bee frames on their side, with these I can hang then out of my way and not annoy my bees so much, other than my digging around in their house uninvited. They are stainless steel and stay mostly clean. They are durable enough they seem like they will last many years. They are long enough to hold four or five frames, depending on much the bees have stored on the frame. ... show more
