I got these to protect my arms while gardening but expected them to be heavier material. They arrived and are about the weight of heavy nylon stockings. They strech well and fit my arms lengthwise although when pulled up to under my short sleeves, the thumb hole binds a bit. I don't see any non-slip elastic at the top but they didn't slide down my arm while wearing them so I guess that's a good thing. I have no way of knowing whether they provide UV protection or not so we'll see over time. I'm glad I only paid $10 for the four pair because I don't think they are worth paying more than that. ... show more

Don't come up far enough past the elbows and are extremely thin.

    • These really do work!
Even though these may seem on the thin side at first glance, they really do help shield my arms from the sun and I have used these twice so far in hot noon sunlight. While my legs got sunburned after being out for only 30 minutes, my arms wearing these did not!
