bad weather caused a delay getting these brake pads yesterday and I need them desperately. so I went to a local bike shop and paid $14 for just one set. installed them on my rear brakes. today my Amazon order was delivered. I just to say a huge thank you to whoever makes the great deals possible here at Amazon yesterday I paid $14 for literally two brake pads and a new spring retainer that holds the pads. today in my package I had 4 full sets of brake pads, as well as the spring retainers and the pins that lock them into the caliper. also an Allen wrench, a tool filir tire removal and pressing the piston in in case my system was hydraulic. and a tool that holds the pads in place and centers them on the rotor during installation. the pads are semi metallic that being copper. $14 pads organic only. ok here is the great part $10.80 total cost from Amazon. ... show more

    • Fine for flat land, can get you killed in the mountains
I installed these brake pads a week ago on a 68lb electric bike, rode 80 miles over two days on the Blue Ridge Parkway through the Appalachian Mountains, including one 15 mile continuous downhill stretch. These brake pads literally shredded, to the point I had to use my feet to help stop when I finally got down to Asheville. So, toast in less than a week after install. For comparison, my regular $14 tektro brakes which I ride on the same or worse terrain last at least 1000 miles. 80 miles vs. 1000 miles, I'll be buying tektro from now on. Now, all that whining said, if you are planning to ride on flat terrain you will probably get a lot more mileage - these brakes are not resistant to heat I think. So prolonged/extreme braking on downhill destroys them. If you don't heat them up because you're riding on the flat, they would probably last significantly longer. They do come with the pins, which for some reason no one else gives you, so kudos to the product designer for giving us what we want and what all the other vendors can't figure out! ... show more

These were good I can’t tell you about longevity but they are good so far and fit perfect in the type of break I have pictured above! Tektro disc brake pads like the one posted above fit overall I am satisfied changed front and rear pads easily and everything was in a neat box even included Allen wrench.
