This stuff works amazing. This was my first time using it, and if it is your first time I would definitely recommend a few practice tries. I ended up messing up some of the vinyl and redoing it since my technique wasn't quite right the thread simply pulled and wrinkled the vinyl instead of cutting it. And in another case while trying to get ahold of the thread to pull it, it broke off so I had to redo that particular section since I now had no way to grab the knifeless tape.     • It’s 3M knifeless tape…
We use this stuff at the shop regularly and it’s cheaper to buy here than from my distributors. Designline has a stretchy thread that you can rip by hand, designed for curves and tight shapes, Finishline has a non-stretch thread that doesn’t rip by hand and is best suited for straight lines and moderate curves. Each have their caveats, Designline’s string can rip as you are cutting and Finishline’s string can slip out if you make too tight of a turn and put too much tension on the tape while applying it. Designline also can end up more wobbly for straight lines in contrast to Finishline. We primarily use Designline for everything now.     • Could stick better
It does what it's supposed to do however, if you don't press it down good enough it can lift easily. Also, difficult to begin the cut.

    • Instructions are garbage, but the product works great!
Used this to cut vinyl wrap on my 350z. The instructions that come with it are pretty much useless as far as I can tell, or I was reading them very wrong. The proper way to get a line started is to pull the tape back across the vinyl you are cutting, place a finger gently over the point where the cutting tape touches the vinyl and give it a gentle tug. (look up a youtube video if that doesn't make sense) Once you figure out how to use it this stuff is great, super clean cuts, managed to cut even when I didn't give it enough overlap. Just be careful over any bunched wrap, and try it on a spare piece first to get used to the pressure you need to pull at. Too much and you can snap the thread. ... show more

    • Cutting twine is thinner, better than most
One thing I noticed ab this particular knife less tape is how strong it is. I thought it was going to break when I first pulled it but it cut smoother and better than the last 3M roll I had. Highly recommend.
