Once upon a time a poor couple fell in love and eloped. 10 years later he was a Dr and presented her with a magnificent 2.25ct oval solitaire. Eventually she gifted the stone to her youngest daughter. Sadly it was lost/stolen about a decade later. If you guessed I’m the idiot that lost it- yup! It was me. And let me tell you this cheapo fake ring could damn near pass for the original (at least from a distance)! Fast forward another decade after its loss and my husband and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary. This “trial” helped me decide if I wanted to spring for a real one. Figured either way, I could potentially use it as a travel or right hand fun ring. Sharing pictures of this fake next to a K color 1.9ct diamond set in 14kt gold so that you can see how close it really is. Ring size 4.5-5 (knuckle vs finger) and I opted for the 2ct (don’t think anyone would believe a 3ct on me). Also it’s probably a little dirty here (but that’s real life!). To me the setting looks legit and the overall effect is very similar to genuine. Up close in real life the real diamond has a lot more fire, but the fake does hold its own. I wore it for a couple weeks including accidentally in the shower more than a few times and no signs of major wear. Will it last forever? Probably not, but if you are looking for a temporary for special occasions that is a heck of a lot cheaper than the real thing and visually almost as good this should fit the bill! (Pun intended). Another benefit to consider, I found this was a helpful comparison when ring shopping. I have a type of mild color blindness so I was worried I wouldn’t know if a K stone (slight tint much less expensive) would look weird to others, but seeing it in the photo the difference is so minor I feel confident it’s not just my eyes deceiving me (again!). Will a big sparkly diamond change your life? Nope - testing it out nobody noticed but me. After trying this out you might even decide to go for something smaller if you are ring shopping. Bought this as a travel replacement for my engagement ring. The stone is nice and sparkly not cloudy at all. The gold is very bright, almost too bright to pass for real gold but fine for what I use it for. Stone seems nicely secured.

Seems to be great quality. Will say I don’t think it’s the size of a 2 CT seems more like a 1 CT. But that’s not a big deal, quality is most important! Bought this for vacation instead of my real one so we’ll see how it holds up!
