I needed some fancier plates for the banquet at my Family Reunion. I have many glass dinnerware and stainless steel cutlery that I use for parties when I'm hosting at my home, but this banquet will be at a hotel that requires us to bring our own everything necessary for eating. I did not want to lug all of my dinner items and have to be bothered with doing the dishes afterwards, so I selected these. I have used this same color and type of dinnerware for another occasion and they were perfect then, so I thought why not now? I have not used these yet, but I did check them out and they all appear to be unbroken and in tact. They are nice and sturdy, and I don't have to bother with the dishes, even though they are nice enough to use again. My purpose is to work smarter, not harder so in the trash they will go.
