True to size! Fits great…very flattering! Can cinch waste for a more fitted look. I’m 5’4”, the bottom of jacket hits about 4 inches above my knees. Perfect! Lightweight, but I love that! The fleece is soft and warm enough. Can wear a decent sweater underneath. Sleeve length is just right. Buttons and zipper go to very bottom, which is great! I really love this jacket!! Yet to wear in the rain, I just received it. Surprised by the low price. If this was sold at REI, it would be double the price. Great buy!! Just FYI: I usually wear an XS, the XS in this jacket fit perfectly. I’m 5’4” tall and weigh 108. Not super busty, but there is room for bustier women. ... show more

I needed a lightweight but warm enough coat for a fall trip to the mountains. Having it water resistant a plus for those dewy morning hikes. This coat delivered in spades. Not only lightweight enough to roll into a backpack, it provided plenty of warmth with the soft lining (also used as a pillow to sleep on the flight home). It has velcro tabs to tighten down the sleeves and waist adjustments on both sides on the inside to cinch the waist closer to your body. The zipper is solid and there is a snap flap over for added protection from the elements. Wonderful pockets, even deep ones on the inside, to carry everything. This jacket is such high quality construction! Pros: -PRICE!!! $$$ -OUTSTANDING CONSTRUCTION!!! -Beautiful fabrication! -2-WAY ZIPPER! YES!!! Every coat should have a 2-way zipper! High quality snap placket to hide zipper! High quality zipper! -Hood-not too big or too small (hood cannot be removed, if that is important to you) -Deep pockets! -Warmth without weight! Perfect transition coat! (depending on where you live, this coat may suit you year round. The FLEECE lining (not an easy thing to find) is so comfortable and just the right weight/warmth. Personally, a Sherpa lining is too hot for me. -Repels water -Cinched, adjustable waist -Flattering fit -Perfect length. I am 5’11” tall and weigh 235 lbs. I have long arms and a long torso. This coat covers my bottom completely and hits about 8” above my knees. I ordered the 3X and it fits perfectly. I normally wear a size 18, but find Amazon clothing runs at least 2 sizes smaller than U.S. sizes. -Love the notch at center back hem to add style -Sleeves are generous in fit and also in length. Sleeves that are too restrictive in the upper arms are always an issue for me. Not with this coat. -Not at all restrictive in shoulders -No unattractive “logo” embroidered on the coat CONS: -Fleece lining in sleeves. Why? Wish sleeves were polyester/tricot lined. It is hard to get your arm in the sleeves when wearing long sleeved tops. -Sizing is inconsistent. Navy is more generous than the black (ordered navy and black). Tags sewn into neckline are even different on the navy and the black. Why??? They should be identical. -Velcro on sleeve hem is annoying. For some reason, the black coat does not have Velcro on the sleeve hem, which I am happy about. I removed the Velcro on the navy coat. It serves no purpose and attracts lint and when you don’t use it, the Velcro shows and it is scratchy and unattractive. I would give this 5 stars if it weren’t for the fleece lining in the sleeves, the Velcro on the sleeve hem and inconsistent sizing. I have been searching for a coat like this for years! The pros far outweigh the cons. Wish there was a dark, chocolate brown option. I hope this review will help others who are debating whether or not to order this coat. The media could not be loaded. I purchased this to wear in Iceland in November/ December as I am chasing the Northern Lights. These are my initial thoughts, and I will update this review after it stands the test of Icelandic winter. 1. COMFORT AND FIT: The fleece lining is soft and warm, it's comfortable and fits well if you follow the sizing chart. However, I'm not sure why it's advertised as a stretchy material when it is actually not. Keep this in mind if you will be wearing multiple layers underneath. 2. WATERPROOFNESS: The material is moisture wicking for sure. See the attached video. Because I didn't have anyone to hold the camera, I could only film a few drops, but I also tried it with more water than what's seen in the video and all of it rolled off without getting the insulation wet. I have high hopes for this coat. I will update my review once I return. 3. QUALITY: The quality of the material is top notch. I have zero complaints. It is well-made and pleasing to the touch. The zipper closure is sturdy and reinforced by little clips going up the opening of the coat which will be great for keeping the biting wind out (see attached photo). Overall, this was a good purchase and I look forward to updating this review once I've worn it on the through the Arctic winter. ... show more
