This jacket was just perfect! It is not so heavy, but yet just right for fall. I am petite, 5’ tall 100 pounds, I purchased a size x small, it fits me perfect. I can wear a heavy sweater underneath and be ok. If I were to wear a heavy sweatshirt then it may be a bit tight, so if that’s what you plan on doing than I would size up. The jacket itself is great, it looks very nice on, can be dressed up or down. Looks great with jeans or a nice pair of dress pants. Fits great, somewhat form fitting. Beads water well in the light rain, and is trimmed with a soft liner on the inside. The sleeves around the wrist helps keep the cold out for sure, though it isn't the warmest coat, it's great for fall and gentle winters in the Pacific Northwest for short trips. It's nice having an alternative to a puffer jacket when driving, or heading to the store. It has two zipper pockets on the outside and some deep, vertical hand wide pockets on the inside. The only real negative I have with the coat is the hood just isn't large enough to fully cover my head in the rain. It ends somewhat at my hairline, and so you can't duck into the hood in the rain at all, which is unfortunate. Though if you size up and layer a thin hoodie on the inside, it could make up for it. ... show more

I love this coat, it looks great and feels great. The fit is as I expected. I got a L and I'm 5'3.5" weigh 140. Doesn't need a sweater under it because it feels very warm. If you would want a sweater with it you would need to size up one. The first thing I've bought in a very long time that the sleeves are not way too long. I love that the pockets all have zippers to protect what ever I might put in them from the rain. I have only one complaint, I hadn't noticed that the hood is not detachable. I hate that it stands open all the time, I am going to try and use safety pins to make it lay better if I can do it without them showing. I haven't worn it in the rain yet so I can 't speak to that. If it wasn't for that one thing, the hood, I'd buy another one in a different color but the blue one I bought is beautiful, looks as pictured. ... show more

The jacket is okay. It's lightweight and water resistant (not water proof). Just know that they run large. I'm 5'5" and 150 lb. Amazon told me to buy a large and it looks like I'm wearing my husband's coat. I'm only keeping it because I'm too lazy to return it.
