The PT270AIU is a powerful home preamplifier that's been updated for the 21st century — now with support for USB, SD cards, and your iPod or iPhone. Now you can charge your iDevice while playing it back or while using the stereo RCA input on the back. This preamp is also equipped with an AM/FM radio with auto- seek and capable of storing up to 50 radio station presets. With a maximum output of 600 watts, the PT270AIU has the power to fill your room with sound. On the front, two ¼' microphone inputs allow you to sing along to your music, making the PT270AIU the perfect amplifier for karaoke parties. You can even add an echo effect to your voices. Output includes banana-plug speaker terminals, plus two mono RCA outputs dedicated for the subwoofer output, which has its own separate gain control. Control multiple sets of speakers with the A/B speaker out switch. The digital fluorescent display on the front beautifully displays the levels of the input audio. 110 and 220 V switch.

My unit arrived, in the USA, set to 220v 50HZ. No where in N. America is that the proper voltage. You MUST change it for the unit to work. Look on the back and switch the voltage. Unit delivers what you would expect for the price. Wish it had more than one external input. Using for a backyard sound system, don't need to be too picky. ... show more

My main reason for selecting this stereo system was due to the Ipod docking station. My Ipod has been my primary source for music in my office. This stereo system has plenty of power to do the job. Connected to my Onkyo speakers and a subwoofer, it fills my office with rich powerful sound. My only complaint is I wish it would continue to charge my Ipod when the main power is switched off. ... show more

I like the product but do not like the idea of needing to retune it every time I turn it on. Every tuner I have ever owned works the same way. When you turn off this tuner it loses the station you were listening to. When you turn on this tuner you must reset the input and retune it to the station you were listening to when you turned the tuner off. This is a pain. Tech support tried to help but I do not feel they understand my problem as everything they have asked me to do does not work. ... show more
