Overall it’s a good water bottle for toddlers! It does leak if you turn it upside down and shake it (which a toddler would do). The picture of the sloth on the bottle did start to chip after 2 months in case anyone was wondering. Cleaning it is easy, the straw comes out. One thing i dislike is if the spout isn’t all the way open then the water won’t fully come out if they are drinking. Nonetheless we use this bottle everyday, & it gets the job done. ... show more

I already bought 4 of these because my daughter loved one so much from whole foods and it was the closest one to that. Unfortunately, the ad says shatter-resistant and it is not. The one we had with the bear lasted a few weeks and when my daughter dropped it, the entire spout shattered, rendering it useless. After that, I replaced it with the sloth one and only had it for 3 days before it was dropped again (clumsy toddler, hence shatter-resistant purchase) and it shattered the base. I bought one of these cups (the owl) at first, because I could not find a durable straw cup for our 17 month old that didn't cost $15 or more. I was spending so much money on cups that I wasn't even sure if she would like or not. These are easy to clean, good quality, just simple cups. I bought a second one shortly after (the deer) and that one had a malfunction with the lid. I'm still not sure how, but it wouldn't suction when you sucked the straw. It was like there was a hole in it somewhere. Anyway, I sent word for a replacement and they sent me another one for free. This newest one has given us no problems, and my daughter loves them. It doesn't hurt that they are super cute and have simple designs, which I love. I will say that these are not 100% leak proof. We don't really allow our kids to walk around with drinks so it's not a huge an issue for us, but the good outweighs the bad here for sure. The bottle was great until a little plug piece fell out of the lid and it was about the size of a pea. So after that plug fell out (in the dishwasher I assume) it would leak from a pea sized hole. From what I remember the bottle said dishwasher safe. My friend however has these bottles and her plugs have never came out and she loves the bottles. I returned it and went with a different brand (Munchkin that came with handles) ... show more
