I bought the version which is open in the middle, not designed to fit around the buttons. If you are buying the one where the buttons are not all covered, don't. It does not fit. I bought the newest Fire TV remote since my old one was not working well, and this ad claimed to fit. It does not. Not sure which longer version of the remote this is supposed to fit.
