The buckle in the car seat is completely made of plastic. I've never seen a safe car seat with an all plastic buckle, also there is no chest peice to go in front of the babies chest when in the car seat just the straps.

I have come across this product at the hospital, and it is not an approved car seat. It doesn't have a chest clip, the metal clip in the back that is supposed to help with adjusting the straps is not there, and it doesn't come with a detailed manual. It is not safe for an infant to use during car rides. It seems like a good deal, but you're better off spending $300 on a good car seat that is actually safe and approved to use. ... show more

The "infant carrier" that looks like a car seat is NOT an infant car seat. It does not have a chest clip nor is it a 5 point harness seat. A baby could be ejected from this seat easily in a crash, or could slip down and suffocate due to poor positioning. DO NOT BUY!
