Features

  • Effectively Drains Condensate: the standard condensate trap adopts a gradient design to effectively drains condensate in a variety of HVAC systems; The U shape pipe filled with water is enough to stop the suction from pulling water back into the air conditioner, stopping the backflow of condensed water, so that the water can be drained smoothly
  • Prevent Dirty Air from Coming Back in: the trap provides an automatic air blocking water sealing device for an air conditioning drainage pipe; The full water in the U curve stops the dirty air inflow and pollute the indoor air
  • Transparent Trap Design: the clear PVC U shaped pipe and openable blue caps makes you easily inspect if sediment builds to block the trap and easily open it for cleaning
  • Flexible Cleaning Brush: comes with a 16 inch flexible brush, you can push a brush into the trap easily for cleaning
  • Quality Material: the condensate trap is made of quality PVC, which is durable; Besides, it is very easy to install and can work well on your 3/4 inch PVC drain line for your central air conditioning, furnace condensate, and HVAC systems; Note: please remember to prime and PVC cement the clear parts so it doesn't leak

  • Extensive Research Done
Item Package Quantity: 1
I had a 5 ton Trane HVAC heat pump installed barely 5 years ago… in the last two years of operating, this unit starting giving a musty smell out of the ducts…issues with cooling, running constantly, not draining properly… I live in Florida and my service people would come and do basic checks every year, but never cleaned the actual A coils or the big condenser outside… finally after the smell worsened, I decided to YouTube how to clean… upon opening my unit, I found LOADS OF MOLD, algae, my insulation on the inside of the housing was soaked and deteriorating… the A coils were a bit dirty, but not bad for 5 years with 9 dogs in the house… I change my intake filters every 4 weeks and keep my condensation line cleaned as well… the problem was no p trap on my draw thru negative pressure unit… I was told I did not need one… after researching extensively, YES YOU DO….!!!! I ordered this u trap because it was recommended by old school AC techs, and they were right… my daughter and me installed the u trap just outside of the air handler within minutes, and it started pouring water out quicker than we could get the other side connected… we had to shut the system down to finish installing… it has been installed for almost one week… my humidity within the house has maintained at 45-48, prior it was 55-60 and I had to run a 3000 sq ft dehumidifier… the musty smell is almost nonexistent and the seer I am getting is 18-20 and the unit is rated 14… it does not run as often and it is cycling off as it should… water now drips constantly when unit is running from outside pipe instead of one big draining after blower turned off… I cleaned the unit from top to bottom including coils, blower, inside of housing, and air ducts… I can see if the pipe is clogged, or dry with this u trap… thank you to the many OG HVAC gentlemen who informed me of what the problem was via YouTube and recommending this u trap….!!!! ... show more

  • Every AC system needs this!!
Item Package Quantity: 1
This should be part of the installation of every attic mounted (or any other location) AC air handling unit. It is inevitable that debris from the condensate pan will settle into the trap in the condensate drain and eventually cause it to become clogged. The result is one of two outcomes; if you have a high water level sensor on the auxiliary condensate drain, it will shut the AC unit off, and if you don't, the condensate pan will overflow onto the ceiling drywall below. This Condensate trap is a simple but brilliant design, that lets you see the clog and and clean it out before the trap becomes blocked and bad things happen. 5 stars. ... show more

  • Every HVAC should come with this
Item Package Quantity: 1
Easy to install. I first had a P-trap with no access that was clogged, so cut that out and ran new lines, without a P-trap. I didn't realize the reason why I needed one, but soon as I hooked it up water came gushing out because it cut off the vacuum the blower was creating through the line which the P-trap alleviated. Love that I can see if there's any debris in it and easy clean out with the access. ... show more

I had a problem with moisture in my ducts from A/C not properly draining. This P Trap along with a few other fittings was the perfect install to help my unit drain the condensate. Easy to install with PVC glue and primer. I love the clear trap to help you see and the included brush to push the crud out. ... show more

Main AC was clogged and AC dropping out of secondary drain. No way to clean thru the clean out stub, so I had to anyways cut it open. Now it is easy visual inspection and easy to clean thru the 3 opening in every direction.
