I would not recommend this canvas unless you are using it just for practice. The staples are actually along the edges, the canvas is not wrapped around to the back and then stapled. My fault for not paying closer attention to the picture. However, the canvas was cut all jagged and rough edges were just left. It was packed with a TON of packing tape and took 10 minutes to get out of the wrapper. Once finally out of the wrapper, the canvas actually had dirt marks all over it. I was in a time crunch to get a project done so had to use it. Had I not been, I would have undoubtedly returned. I even had to break out the staple gun and staple it more in areas that were gaping. Would not recommend this for a clean finished project! ... show more

It wasn't as bad as the rest of the comments say it was, I took the risk and was actually happy with it, however there could be a few more staples to hold the canvas better but it isn't a necessity. It isn't the most professional but once you have it painted and hung probably couldn't tell.
