Please note: This review pertains to the gradient blue. I purchased these braids to use at crazy hair day for spirit days at my work, and love the smooth ombre transition from dark to light. The tinsel adds some nice sparkle, and with a length of 24" per braid you get quite a bit of hair. The quality is as can be expected for the cost and material - it is synthetic hair, and looks the part. Some strands are wirily sticking off the main braid, so you may need to work with those or trim them. With synthetic hair, you will also need to be careful around heat sources. These ombré braids (set of 2) were larger than I expected — about 4” wide by 22” long. So as braids they look proportional to something an adult would wear (I think it may look too large on a child). Actually they are huge even for adults—they are more for costumes in the original braids. The colors are lovely and I like the look of the added tinsel. Using this to weave into box braids, and it is great! Nice and soft, doesn't tangle easily. The glittery strands are more difficult to work with, and it takes some patience to separate appropriate swatches of hair. Overall, though, great color and it is very pretty.

I ordered this gradient purple color for my daughter. She likes to wear them to go to concerts. The color is very bold and vibrant. This one is an upgraded style because it has the tensile added into it. The listing title says 2 piece braid but the photo says three piece braid.
