They’re definitely much stiffer than anything Traxxas offers for the x Maxx, I also bought a set of these for my erevo 2.0 to eliminate droop in both and it worked! Only issue is that even with the preload set as soft as it goes on all four shocks it’s almost impossible to make a turn without almost coming to a stop. These are good for the days you just want to jump the hell out of it at the skatepark or something. They definitely help reduce chassis slap for that type of bashing ... show more

So I got a pair of these stiffer shock for the front of my stock x maxx & was totally surprised. Took all the front end roll out of my car. Helps it land better off small jumps & a lot less roll overs. Was cheap too. Seem to hold up as good as my race springs. So yea I'll recommend a set. Quality is there! Very stiff. You'll need to experiment with your shock oils to suite your personal needs. I'm no expert, but beefy shock shafts and pistons are must for heavy bashing. Does help out with preventing harsh chassis slaps.
