Works well, does drain the water off and the soap isn't laying in a puddle of water getting soggy and gross. You'll want to clean these off from time to time as they do get soap-scummy on top and on bottom, but they clean up well, and are super easy to clean. These soap holders are just what I was seeking. Normal soap dishes retain water in the bottom. These are slanted so that the water automatically drains off. Result: no more discolored, unsightly bars of soap due to the bottom of the soap sitting in water. Yeah!
