Since the home I just moved into has vinyl siding and I discovered a few places where the siding was damaged I ordered this Vinyl Siding Removal Tool in order to make repairs myself with a few spare panels that the previous owner left behind. The tool does work to lift out and separate one vinyl siding panel from another but it is pretty awkward to use successfully. Maybe this is as good as a tool gets for this task but never having used any type of vinyl siding removal tool before, I can only comment how it worked for me without a comparison to any other similar tool.     • Very useful for maintenance
We have a few damaged locations on the rear wall of our summer cottage, due to accidents by our landscaper as he modified the hillside behind the house. This tool, plus several lengths of replacement siding, will greatly simplify repairs this summer.

It’s too cold now to do siding repairs and replacement but I think this tool will work just fine. It feels like it would last. As soon as I am able to do a repair I will update review.

Noticed some siding displaced when I fixed the screen window. After several attempts to fix, and all failed, I went on to search Amazon. After all, they have something for everything right? I found this and ordered. It is well made, quite sturdy and definitely more than capable of moving around vinyl! It only took a few minutes to get my siding back in place where it belongs. This is just the tool for helping with siding repairs. It is sturdy and well made with a comfortable grip. My husband will be using this to replace some damaged siding soon, as we had a bit of a lawn mower incident, and this tool will make that repair much simpler.
