After testing with a fully charged battery, I found what was looking for. A decent "Alley Light" that was small & bright. These are very small and wont interfere with a roof rack. Not the brightest, but pretty decent for the size and cost. 4.5 stars.

Bought these to attach to the underside of my conversion van as back-up lights. The original back-up lights weren't really up to the task. These are brighter than they need to be for this purpose, but it sure makes backing up my trailer at night a lot easier!

My wife bought me these for Christmas. I was unable to install the lights as one was defective when I bench tested them, hence the 3 star rating (should have been 2.5*). The one that did work was extremely bright and appeared to be fairly well made. It is made with an all aluminum housing with multiple large cooling fins on the back. I noticed some of that the LEDs were not centered in the reflectors while some were perfectly centered. That didn’t appear to affect the blinding light output. I am returning the pair to Amazon and have ordered a replacement set. Hopefully I will be able to rate the replacements with 5 stars. UPDATE: The replacement lights were received quickly and both lights work. I installed the pair as back up lights on my Tahoe to use backing up a utility trailer. These things are BRIGHT! I also replaced my #3157 backup bulbs with Sylvania LEDs. I increased my rating based on these replacement lights. Had I not received a defective one in the first pair, I would rate them 5*. I just installed them today and cannot comment on how long they last or how waterproof they are. ... show more

The lights are exactly what I was looking for, small profile, bright, and very durable. If you are looking at something that can be used for area illumination for a trailer, these lights are perfect. I just installed them on my travel trailer, took me longer to plan the wiring than the actual install itself. I was able to tap into my porch dome light so they come on the same time I turn on my porch switch. I grounded it to a bolt and washer used to mount the light onto the trailer siding. They light up the porch very nicely for an evening to sit out with friends and have a drink. I will order another pair to make the porch even brighter, but for now it works good. My only complaint is the mounting system, it is advertised as being 360° swivel all the way around, that is not true. If you mount these in the angle I did, they are great. If you want the light to point straight out from the brackets, the vent fins stick out too far that the light will not rotate all the way, at least not if you are mounting it on a flat surface. Easy to install, mounted to the bottom of my rear bumper. Simply tapped into my reverse lights for power and activation. I do gig driving so I back down rural driveways a lot. This really brightens up my path in reverse. No fear of dropping into ditches or running into trees, posts. or retaining walls. I had one minor issue: the hardware was missing nuts and bolts when I got it. A quick interaction with the company and they were in my hands within a couple days. Great response! ... show more
