My JD LX277 deck has 2 idler pulleys that are of pressed sheet metal - spot welded together. I drilled out the spot welds and replaced the bearings - twice now. I always buy bearings with removable side covers. RS ? These Timken's are well filled with grease - some brands are skimpy on grease. Proper technique is 50% to 70% fill of grease.
