I bought these cables for my stick up (gen 3) not sure that they would charge the batteries since the usb cables are 30 ft long each. It works! Configured the cam power selection to WIRED mode. 1st charge took 2 days, then now only charge when bat level dropped below 95%. Cameras think they're on Solar mode. Good product! ... show more

This product works as advertised and my batteries are now slowly charging. One bit of information that might be helpful to some: inside the single white wire are two smaller wires, red and black. I had to go through an interior wall to an exterior wall to deliver the power to my camera and did not want to drill a large hole to allow the weatherproof plug or the USB connector to pass through the interior and exterior walls. For anyone with basic wiring/electronics experience, it is a simple matter to cut the white cable somewhere in the middle, pass the white wire through a much smaller hole in your interior and exterior walls (3/16 or quarter of an inch) and rejoin the cable by reconnecting the black and red wires exposed by peeling back an inch or so of the white insulation. ... show more

Bought this to use in conjunction with battery in my Battery Cam. Originally thought I'd just use the hard wire and take batteries out but realized that by plugging in and keeping batteries in, it would work in the event of a power failure.     • Allows Camera to Operate in Hardwired Mode

I bought these because I was not impressed with the battery drain rate and motion detection polling interval of the battery-powered stickup cams. When you connect these power adapters the app thinks you have connected a solar panel, but after switching to hardwired mode (and bypassing the warning), the camera operates like I wanted it to and have zero power drain issues. The Ring website dashboard lets you see the battery % for cameras even when hardwired, so the ultimate test was when a spider built a web in front of one of my cameras overnight. The camera recorded nearly all night long and when I checked the battery - it was still sitting at 100%. Bottom line, this is a much cheaper option than the ring cable for getting your devices into hardwired mode. ... show more
