I just returned from a holiday road trip where I took one of my dogs to the family's house out of town. I ended up taking one of my regular collapsible metal dog kennels. It was heavy and clunky to lug around to my hotel and to my family's house while I was out on vacation. Had I known that this foldable kennel existed before my trip, I definitely would have gotten this. It is lightweight. It folds up into a small and flat circular disc about 24" in diameter that takes up very little room. It's super easy to assemble -- all that is required is insertion of 8 rods into the rod holding slots (similar to putting together a collapsible camping tent). All the stitching seems well done. This kennel/bed has many nice features and I wanted to love it but it fell a little short. It functions as it should; comes well packed for easy travel, assembles easily, has zippered openings in front, back and on top. The size is good for small to medium dogs. Since there's little weight to it, it feels like our dog could tip it over if not supervised. The "short" parts are: the top binder has a thin mental trim that was bent in places as seen in picture #4. I think it gets bent when twisting it up to store in the bag. Zippers are plastic, the material is a very lite plastic. Durability is questionable. Lastly, the bag it comes in for storage is also a thin plastic and folding it up and getting it back in the bag took two people. We will use this kennel type bed as a temporary sleeping place. I plan to let my cat sit outside with me in the backyard, but needed a place to keep him safe. This is perfect for that or going out on the balcony with him. The entire thing packs down small for storage. There are 8 tent poles to hold this up. There are 2 layers on the bottom. Seams are well sewn and reinforced. Two handles on the top are sewn well and make it easier to move about. The zipper pulls are okay, but not the highest quality. I like that I can clip them together to “lock” the zipper closed. The hook & loop used to roll up the sides is not very sticky and sometimes falls down. This is not going to hold a determined to get out pet, but for what I need it will work great. My cat is 19 pounds and large. He can stand with plenty of room around him and above his head. ... show more

I like this playpen! Our dogs are a little too large for this size but we're going to be primarily using this for cats anyway, as we live in an area where a lot of strays get dumped and I do my own TNR in our little neighborhood, and frequently need to keep cats separated from other kitties and this will do the trick in a much more comfortable environment than our metal crate. I love how transportable and storable it is with just being able to fold it up when not in use. The cloth material seems pretty sturdy as does the mesh, the zippers are good quality, and I love the extra pocket! I really like this pen! Ordered to take a couple pups at a time to my husband’s work. Lost a star because 2 of the sides are already bent. I first thought it was more like a tent and we treated it like we do our tent, but the supports bend out of shape easily! But, in saying that I ordered another one, we will just be more careful with the new one and if on of those bend we will have replacements! Value for the price I believe is great! ... show more

This portable pet playpen is folded into a flat round case When ready to assemble, take it from the case, it pops out, almost complete. You must add the rods for security for your pets. It has a zipper top. It will be great for camping or at home when you need your pet in a secure place.
