I ordered these to put on the border of my garden to act as a deterrent for rabbits, dogs, and other small animals. This is the first year that I have had problems with any animals coming into my garden and eating/destroying the plants that took me a long time to put in the ground. So far so good!! Since putting this fencing up on one section of my garden, I have not seen any footprints and the plants are still in the ground. These panels could not be any easier to put up wherever you plan on them being. I like them as a border around my garden, but they can be put in lots of other places outdoors. When you are putting these panels wherever you want them, no tools are needed. All you have to do is push them into the ground. The panels are strong and they are sturdy, They are anything but flimsy. In my opinion, these panels will not bend or break when they are used for their intended purpose. Once the panels are pushed into the ground, they are not very tall. Mine are 14 inches tall, which is about the perfect size for me and my garden. I like that I am able to step over the fencing because I don't have to remove a panel or make a doorway to get into my garden. I have a 79 year old mother and father who love to work in the garden, and they are also able to step over these panels. Again, I do like these panels, they look good, they are effective as a deterrent, and they are so easy to put in the ground. I only used these on a section of my garden, not the entire garden. I got this to use to line a quail aviary in order to better predator-proof it. For the most part, they are good! However, I do have a rocky/clay soil, and will note that the stakes that go into the ground bent several times while trying to put them in the ground. This isn’t exactly a note against them, because my soil is difficult - but it is a note that they are not so durable as to not consider your soil type when using them. I split these up and use them in different parts of my yard. I put three of them together to keep people off a small garden near my driveway. The rest of them I used against my fence to keep the rabbits out. I stuck them in the ground in the places near my Fence that the rabbits were under. These are made with thick metal and comes with gloves, zip ties, and a metal cutter. For the price this is a great set. Very happy with them. Even though I am careful to review the measurements on items like this, I'm always a little disappointed when they're smaller than I imagined in my head. These are no exception. But they are thick and built to last. THE GOOD: - Thick wire both on the fence itself and the prongs that fit into the ground - Incredibly sturdy - Easy to install - Looks higher end than the skinny wire fencing you find at the stores - They come with a full bag of black zip-ties to secure the individual panels together and a rather nice set of wire clippers that will get a ton of use in my craft room. THE (SORT OF) BAD: - Small, much smaller than I pictured. Once installed, they sit about 8 inches high. - Due to the size, they aren't really a deterrent to animals. Even medium size rabbits could hop this fence. Instead of my intended use (to keep my pig from rooting up ornamental grass), I'll use these as retaining structures for short rock walls. I am reviewing a 10-pack of these animal barriers. They are made of a sturdy metal and are well manufactured to a consistent standard. They are easy to install. When installed, they function very well to protect the bottom, exposed areas of a fence line and are not easily noticed. They provided an unobtrusive solution. They ship with a small wire cutter and plastic ties, according to the product listing. In my case, they did not arrive with the ties, but did include two wire cutters. ... show more

We got this to install to protect the milkweed we've been growing. We also wanted something for the caterpillars to attach onto so that they'd create their chrysalis. It's a strong and easy fence to install. We are looking forward to having our area full of butterflies hopefully soon!

I've used these along the bottom of wood or chain link fencing to keep dogs from digging out - or in, in some cases. They work well, are sturdy, and do the job, also helping to keep out small animals such as Rabbits, etc. About the only issue I've had is that the wires that push into the ground are so close together (which is one of the things that makes them so effective) can be difficult, because, with so many, you will hit objects in the ground with some of them, for sure. Any rock, tree root, or other buried obstacle is an impediment to getting these installed, and it can be frustrating. In a couple of instances I had to cut off one or more of the ground wire stakes in order to push the unit in around a tree root.
