The FREE SOLDIER 20x50 Military Binoculars are pretty awesome for the price point. I took a shot at these because of the price. They are very clear and easily adjustable. Did I say that the glass is very clear?? I was able to crisply see out to 370 yards. From 100-200 yards, the items that I was looking at were very sharp. I also purchased the Celestron – SkyMaster 25X70 Binoculars (more than double the price!) and returned them because they were not as sharp. I bought these binoculars for a limited use event. Price point was great, so I wasn't expecting Vortex build quality. What I was expecting was the rated magnification. I've worked in air traffic control for over 30 years. I've used 10X50 binoculars on a nearly daily basis throughout my career. When i took these out of the box, the magnification level was unfortunately very familiar. Just to be sure, I took them to work and compared them to the Steiner 10X50 binoculars in the tower.
