This has been a very good purchase and I have already added a second light. These seem to be working and my plants started showing new growth within the first few days. I am very happy with this. Right now we are in a home that has a 1.5 foot overhang. This is great for shade and allowing windows to stay open during the rain but horrible for sun. So it's a bit dim in the home and this is not great for plants. So these lights have allowed me to grow herbs indoors, and my house plants have been loving them. I will be buying more of these. I looked at the high end grow lights and decided that I needed to start very slow with these less expensive, free standing lights. I am very happy with the purchase and will now not have to build a huge green house type plant stand for the expensive lights. For being small the lamp puts out a good area of light. Has different briteness levels and a timer that works well ( 4, 8 or 12 hours). I had a certain size lamp that I wanted and after searching Amazon's website this lamp fit what I needed.

This lamp is very bright. It has a timer also. It turns on at 8 pm until 8 am. My plants seem to grow faster under this light it is a bit unstable and doesn’t weigh much so be careful where it’s placed. I would buy another one.
