I like that it’s a vest. It keeps my chest a back warm. The battery has multiple uses. It’s not dedicated to the vest which makes it flexible to the end use. The heated neck and hood area adds additional comfort. I can wash it when it gets dirty just need to read the care tag. Would buy this again

December 2022: I bought 2 plus 3 more vests. Speedy delivery. Arrived this afternoon. Happy with the quality. Batteries partially charged upon arrival. It took 2 hours to put a full charge on the battîtes. Will f/u with additional review once the vests have been worn and tested. Thank you! December 2023: Last winter I bought 5 of these vests for my grown children in Montana. They have enjoyed wearing them throughout the very cold winter. Just purchased (1) more for a total of 6.     • You want it snug.
As a big guy, I was worried that the vest would be too tight. It is pretty tight over a hoodie, but that was to be expected. The important thing that I didn't realize is that you want the vest to be snug in order to really feel the heat. It really needs to heat you up through conduction, so you want the material to stay in contact with your body. I ordered the same size as my winter coat. It seems a bit smaller than that, but a looser fit would not work as well. Other than that, I have not been able to run the battery down yet as I only worked in the yard a few hours and wound up shutting the vest off by the end as I was overheating. I have not tried the heated hood, although I did think it was clever to use the snaps connecting the hood to the vest as the electrical connection. The only weird thing about the vest is the left hand zipper. It is only noticeable when donning or removing the vest, so it is not a big deal. It is just unexpected. This heated vest is priced right and is very good quality! It comes with a battery so that is nice. As an added bonus this one has a hood that heats too. I would definitely recommend this vest! It is priced less than competitors and is really good quality!

I bought this and was surprised at the quality, but apparently this book can't be ready by the cover. Once it warmed up, I tried to turn it off, and even though I turned it off, it kept getting hotter and hotter. The battery pack is extremely heavy and pulls the best down on the side it's on. The vest battery connection was sloppy and didn't work. I wrote Orrnikko and customer services immediately responded. Apologizing for my being inconvenienced and said they would send a replacement. Within 4 days I had the new vest and it worked perfect. Things go wrong but CS made things right. Very happy with the vest and the service! ... show more

    • A mixed bag of love and hate

I've got mixed feelings about this vest from Orrinkko. Certainly, there's a lot to love; unfortunately many annoyances counter my enjoyment. What I like: * The removable hood works great and makes it easier to layer under a coat when not using the hood. The hood comes off easily. It takes a bit of effort to replace the hood though it does get easier with practice. And the neck area heats even with the hood removed. Nice. * The vest heats up quickly and provides substantial warmth. I especially enjoy the automatic mode, which reduces the heat from high to warm after 5 minutes or so. Keeps you warm while extending battery life. * Battery lasts a long time, though not as long as the optimistic marketing suggests. * Love the price. The vest is half the price of many others. Here's what I don't like about the vest: * The sizing is way off. I ordered a size medium. Some reviews mentioned that the vest runs small. That's not my experience. I wear a 38 (which according to the size guide should fit); it's HUGE; it fits like a potato sack. Worse, the hip area is extra wide, giving the vest a pear shaped appearance. * The zipper is reversed for menswear. The vest zips from the left, rather than the right. I had read about the zipper being backwards in some reviews but assumed that Orrnikko would have corrected the mistake by now. Nope. And the backwards zipper is annoying. * Besides the reversed zipper, the quality is not the highest. The zipper isn't as small and cheap as some that I've encountered, but it's not a high-quality, robust zipper either. * The vest is somewhat thick, making it more difficult to layer under a parka or jacket. * I feel the huge and heavy battery constantly. It's definitely noticeable. I guess the size and weight are the tradeoff for battery life. ... show more
